Ray Lokar - Executive Director of Coaching Development
Ray Lokar has 40+ years of successful coaching experience in a variety of sports at the youth, high school, and collegiate level and years as Positive Coaching Alliance's Southern California Lead Trainer. He has presented hundreds of speaking engagements to thousands of coaches, athletes, and parents on a variety of topics in the world of sports. Ray has won a CIF Basketball Championship while at Bishop Amat High School, a State championship in Girls Softball, and a AABC World Series in Youth Baseball. "Coach Lok" is the author of two basketball coaching books, and a youth basketball and baseball DVD series . He taught for over 20 years, has been an Athletic Director, a high school Director of Activities, on the Executive Board of the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (SCIBCA), and served a term as their President.
Shawn Lokar - Director of Basketball Development
Shawn Lokar became an assistant coach with the Pomona-Pitzer Men's Basketball program in 2010. Prior to joining the Pomona-Pitzer staff, Lokar had experience coaching at both the high school and collegiate levels in Southern California. After graduating from the University of La Verne, Lokar coached at Pomona and San Dimas High Schools, before joining his alma mater as an assistant
A four-year member of the basketball team at La Verne, Lokar served as a team captain during his senior season, and also played on the baseball team. He was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the Leopards.
Lokar holds a bachelor's degree from La Verne in movement and sports science, graduating summa cum laude and a master's degree in kinesiology from CSU Fullerton in 2007.
